Hello Indian Football Fans:

The first football game of the 2009 season is less than a week away and I thought this would be a good time to let everyone know that I have put together a site that will be the new online home of Touchet Football. If you go to the Touchet website and then hit the Sports link it will bring up the link to our new football site. Here is the direct link to the site.

This site will be a great resource for our team as well as parents, and fans. Once school begins I will update all the kids profiles with a picture and each will be able to check their own team e-mail as well as get text message alerts when a schedule change happens. If you are a parent or even a devoted fan of Touchet football we can even set up fan log-ins so you can set up your own profile and be able to submit your own pictures and get the schedule alerts yourself either over e-mail or text message. Please let me know if you are interested in becoming a member by e-mailing me at dormaj@touchet.org and I will send you the invite as well as instructions for registering.

Like I said before the site will allow you to add your cell phone number and e-mail address for schedule change alerts but this site will do so much more than that. If you are at one of the games and take pictures you can log-in and post them so that everyone associated with the Touchet team will be able to see your great shots of the action. One of the most compelling things about the site is if you look at the schedule it will also help you map out routes to the away games as well as help you estimate travel times based upon your starting point kind of like Google maps. So for fans who are planning on going to our away games this will be an easy way to help you find out where we are playing then easily print out a map and directions to the visiting field. This site even gives the weather forecast for each location seven days in advance of the game.

Finally this site is not without its benefits for coaches either. In addition to the team and parent alert system there will be a regular posting by the coaches after each game giving a re-cap of the days events and the ability to see game and cumulative stats. (parent and coach permission pending) I will post links to the local newspapers stories about the games and any other press we may receive. I have already been contacted by two coaches interested in this program but please help up look good by adding yourself to the website and by submitting photos, videos, and anything else you wish to "brag" about Touchet football.
